In this talk the Buddha explains how Sariputta (The chief disciple of the Buddha) experienced each state that arose, as he went through all of the Jhanas and finally experienced Nibbana. This Sutta deals with the Jhanas and their characteristics. These are the "Tranquil-Wisdom" jhanas referenced in the Middle Length Suttas (Majjhima Nikaya) and taught by the Buddha. They are not the one-pointed absorption Jhanas taught elsewhere. Inexpensive DVDs are available. This is the CYM series.
